Biju Menon Joins With Ranjith For 'Leela'

Biju Menon will play the lead role in Ranjith's upcoming movie 'Leela'. The movie is based on a short story written by Unni R. Unni himself will be writing the script for the film. The movie is entitled as 'Leela - The Never Ending Play'.

Earlier Shankar Ramakrishnan was considered for playing the lead role. Later the team decided to make Mammootty as the lead character. Now it is again changed and the team decided to select Biju Menon for this role. Biju Menon will be playing the role of Kuttiyappan.

Leela is all about the unique relationship between Kuttiyappan and an orphan girl named Leela. The actress for the role of Leela is not yet decided. Ann Augustine and Karthika Nair were considered earlier. Now the team is planning to consider Rima Kallingal for this role.  However, it is not confirmed. The shooting of the film will start by the end of this year.
