Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha to be re-released in digital format

Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, one of the classic movies of Malayalam cinema, is all set to re-release. P V Gangadharan, the producer of the movie, has announced that the movie will be released again in digital format. The movie was released in 1989. Hence, the silver jubilee of the movie is celebrating this year. This epic Malayalam film is directed by Hariharan and written by M. T. Vasudevan Nair. Mammootty, Balan K. Nair, Suresh Gopi, Madhavi, Geetha and Captain Raju are starring in this film. 

The film had won four National Film Awards (1989) including Best Actor (Mammootty), Best Screenplay (M. T. Vasudevan Nair), Best Production Design and Best Costume Design (P. Krishna Moorthy) and six Kerala State Film Awards. In the online poll conducted by the IBN Live during the 100 Years Of Indian Cinema celebration, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha was listed in the third position of the 100 Greatest Indian films of all time.
