44th Kerala State Film Awards announced

44th Kerala State awards has been announced. Crime Number 89, directed by Sudevan, is the Best Film. Fahadh Faazil and Lal shared the award for Best Actor. Fahadh got the award for his performance in North 24 Katham and Artist and Lal got for the performance in Ayal and Zachariyayude Gharbhinikal. Drishyam has beacame the most popular film. Shyamaprasad has won the award for Best Director for Artist. Ann Augustine is Best Actress and won for the performance in Artist.

Although Suraj has won the award for best actor in National level, he got only the award for Best Comedian in state level. K R Manoj has became the Best Debut Director for the movie Kanyaka Talkies. Sanoop Santhosh(Philips & The Monkey Pen) and Anika(Anju Sundharikal-Sethulakshmi) have became best child actors. Bobby-Sanjay(Mumbai Police) won for Best Screeenplay.

Best Music Director is Ouseppachan (Nadan) and Background Score is for Bijibal. Karthik(Orissa) has became the Best male singer and Vaikam Vijayalakshmi (Nadan) has became best female singer. Rajagopal ( Oru Indian Pranayakadtha) has won for Editing.

Aneesh Anwar (Zachariyayude Gharbhinikal) has given Special Jury award for Best Story. Jury has also specially mentioned Mridula (Singer) for her song in Kalimannu
