Mammootty as Cheraman Perumal

Mammootty himself has announced that he will do the role of Cheraman Perumal. The actor announced it in a function which held at Muscut. He told that, a movie maker had approched him to make a movie on Cheraman Perumal's life and to play the lead role in it. He also told that, he agreed to the project and planning to co-produce it in association with Oman Film Society(OFS).

Cheraman Perumal was a legendary ruler from South India.
