Deepak in place of Asif Ali in Nellika

Asif Ali was replaced by Deepak in Nellika. The movie will be directed by debutant Bijith Bala. Earlier Asif Ali  was casted for the lead role in this movie. But due to some date issues Asif Ali was replaced by newbie Deepak.

In this movie Deepak will be playing as Balu, an engineering student, who is a die-hard fan of Bob Marley. The story of this movie is about Balu and his father who is an ardent fan of M S Baburaj — the renowned composer-musician from Calicut. The shooting team is planning to cast M G Sreekumar in father's role. Atul Kulkarni, who was last seen in the Malayalam film @Andheri,  will be playing the role of a bank officer in Nellika. The shooting of the film will be at Calicut.

Deepak, who has done the role of Sakhavu Rajesh in Thattathin Marayathu and the villain in Thira is currently busy with John Paul Vaathil Thurakunnu, in which he plays the lead role.
