Suresh Gopi met Narendra Modi

Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi had a meeting with BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. It is mentioned that the meeting was Modi's strategy of meeting eminent people to understand the various  walks of life and to understand their idea for the nation in groups as well as individual dignitaries.   Narendra Modi tweeted: It was wonderful meeting noted Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi. Suresh Gopi ji talked  about several issues pertaining to Kerala and the cinema industry in the South.  Modi also posted a picture of their conversation.

Suresh Gopi has mentioned the Vizhinjam Port project, the High Court bench at Trivandrum, modernizing railway network etc with Modi. Suresh Gopi also mentioned about the difficulties faced by the  South Indian Film Industry and also requested Modi to make Doordarshan more effective  in promoting the cultural and artistic talents of the youth in India.  The meeting has lasted for about an hour.
