'Lingaa' is made for the fans and definitely it would entertain Rajininakth fans, for others watch it with low expectations. 

For others who have waited for a long time for the release of a movie of Indian cinema's biggest crowdpuller 'Lingaa' may be a  downer. It is all about style, energy and boundless dynamism. Solely expect that and you may not have a let down feeling.

On an average, this flick has got lot of energy for the Rajinikanth fans. If you are a die-hard fans of Rajini, you will love this flick to the core. For others, this venture looked fine with minor drawbacks. Repetition and lagging factors were seen in few scenarios. 

Rajinikanth proves that he is still the king of style through his performance in the movie. The movie is packed with customary Rajinikanth dialogues, which attributes to the superman like image of his character. The movie is definitely worth watching, especially if you are a Rajinikanth fan.

Though Lingaa is supposed to be a mass masala entertainment; it consists some avoidable action scenes and lags in second half. It is great to see the predictable story line get excited with all in all Rajini show.

K S Ravikumar’s Lingaa works only because of the charisma and enigmatic screen presence of the Superstar.

Overall Lingaa disappointed me. I wasn’t expecting anything unlike a Rajnikanth movie, but the lack of style and punch dialogues seriously makes the movie dull and with a run time of 175 minutes, that dullness is serious problem. The rating is 2/5 for Thalaivar’s Lingaa.

It is a predictable old-fashioned entertainer that's a throwback to those mid-80’s mass masala films, and it’s hard to tell if there's anything original to this story at all.

In all, the film looks like it is made for Rajinikanth, to make him the hero of all times, but fails to meet expectations as a movie on the whole.

Watch Lingaa for its technical brilliance and KS Ravikumar's intriguing narration. If you are a Rajinikanth's fan then watch it again solitarily for the Indian Film Personality of the year.
