I would say Kabali is a mixed bag. On one side you have this totally different less super heroic Rajinikanth character, but on the other side there is this totally dull and unamusing story.

ചുരുക്കത്തിൽ കബാലി ആരാധകർക്കു വേണ്ടിയോ അല്ലാത്തവർക്കു വേണ്ടിയോ മാത്രമായി ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രമല്ല. രജനി എന്ന സൂപ്പർ ഹീറോയ്ക്ക് നാം കൽപിച്ചു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന അമാനുഷിക കഴിവുകളൊക്കെ വേണ്ടെന്നു വച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ഒരു പച്ച മനുഷ്യനാക്കി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സിനിമ. രജനികാന്ത് എന്ന താരത്തെ കാണാനാണ് അല്ലാതെ സിനിമയുടെ മേന്മ നോക്കിയല്ല പ്രേക്ഷകർ തീയറ്ററിലേക്ക് വരുന്നതെന്ന ധാരണ കബാലി തെറ്റിക്കും

In total, Kabali was a disappointing affair if you are a Rajinikant fan. It will even more disappoint you if you are in the cinema hall to watch a Pa Ranjith movie. The film lacks both mass and class and ended in between them without providing you anything interesting.
