‘I’ is a magnanimous movie in all respects meeting all our expectations and pre release hype.

സാങ്കേതിക നിലവാരത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ചിത്രം. ഒപ്പം വിക്രം എന്ന അഭിനയപ്രതിഭാസത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാം മറന്നുള്ള സമര്‍പ്പണം. ഇതു രണ്ടും മാത്രം മതി ‘ഐ സിനിമയെ ചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ സുവര്‍ണ ലിപികളില്‍ രേഖപ്പെടുത്താന്‍.

ഭേദപ്പെട്ട കഥയോ, ശരാശരി നിലവാരമെങ്കിലുമുള്ള ഒരു തിരക്കഥയോ ഇല്ലാത്ത, വിഷ്വൽ ഇഫ്ഫെക്റ്റ്സ് ടീമിന്‍റെ കരുണ കൊണ്ട് മാത്രം പിടിച്ച് നിൽക്കുന്ന, ഒരു പതിവ് തമിഴ് മസാല. അത് മാത്രമാണ് “ഐ”.

No doubt, I is a trend setter in Indian cinema. 

Shankar with I proves that he is more of a visual sculptor than any kind of story-teller. His weakest script till date, is made occasionally engaging and watchable by Vikram’s sincerity and PC’s insanely lovely frames.

വിക്രം സ്വന്തം ശരീരത്തിലും അഭിനയജീവിതത്തിലും നടത്തുന്ന സത്യസന്ധമായ കഠിനപ്രയ്തനമാണ് "ഐ' എന്ന സിനിമയുടെ സൗന്ദര്യം.

കാഴ്ചകളുടെ പൂരമാണ് ഐ. അത്തരത്തിലുള്ള ഷങ്കര്‍ ബ്രാന്‍ഡ് സിനിമകള്‍ ഇഷ്ടമാണെങ്കില്‍ ധൈര്യമായി ടിക്കറ്റെടുക്കാം. കാണാന്‍ മാത്രം ഉണ്ട്!

The only high point of Shankar's I (in Tamil) is Vikram's enthralling performance, first as a rustic body builder and later as a disfigured hunchback.

All that’s big may not necessarily be great. Hope Shankar realises that much better films can be made on a smaller canvas and much lower budget.

While the movie is good technically, its content is just average.

Its an amalgamation of Masters at play which work to a larger extent because of their huge effort.

 Shankar's I, which took over two years to be made, is indeed a milestone in Vikram's career as he has evidently put his heart and soul, needless to mention, his physique as well, giving the flick a big fillip. 

Shankar's I is indeed a perfectly made magnum opus tale of love, jealousy, revenge and passion.

Vikram’s fantastic performance carries this film, quite literally!

This is pure escapist fare but will resonate with those who read fairy tales at bedtime.

Shankar's I is not to be missed, it should be watched in all its glory on the silver screen. Definitely, a treat for Pongal.

The sheer effort that has gone behind this movie is staggering. But if any viewer comes out and asks himself, did I get a perfect deal from 'I', the answer that wells  inside will most likely be No. Blame it on expectations!

I is definitely not the best of Shankar, but still it is a one-time watch.

Don’t expect a movie with social message like Anniyan. Still this Shankar- Vikram duo promises a complete visual treat.

Coming with a whole lot of expectations, the chances of I satisfying you completely is very less.

It was only for the performance of Vikram and other actors especially Suresh Gopi and a Surprise performance from Mohan kapoor that the film stands to an average level. 

A revenge play laced with romance, I has every mass commercial element stuffed in it at right mix by Shankar.

Toting up ‘I’, the visuals dazzle your eyes, Vikram’s sterling performance breaks your heart and shivers your soul.

Shankar’s ‘I’ movie is must watch film… The best film in the history of Indian Cinema!

Overall its nor a great film neither it has the usual Shankar mark, but still succeeds as a film.

A Boring 'I' Feast!

Ultimately, it's an amalgamation of Masters at play which works to a larger extent because of their huge efforts.

This venture can be considered as an above average one and we have to wait for the box office reports to know whether this flick is a high level blockbuster or not.

I is not an unpredictable movie. Though the film proceeds in an expected manner; some unexpected turnings and thrilling moments makes the film interesting. 

An age old tested storyline heavily weighs on Vikram’s performance and makes the viewers constantly in search of thrills and perks.

To begin with, I has turned out to be a trend setter as promised.
