Villali Veeran

It seems that to release this movie as Onam entertainer, director Sudheesh and scriptwriter Dinesh Pallath have just cooked up this spoiler. Even makers have failed to encash that midas-touch of actor Dileep.

ദിലീപ് ചിത്രങ്ങളുടെ മുഴുവന്‍ ചെളിയും പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുത്താല്‍ അതിനു 'വില്ലാളിവീരന്‍' എന്നുപേരിടാം. നിങ്ങളെ സിനിമാവിരോധിയാക്കാന്‍ ഇതു ധാരാളമാണ്. ദിലീപിന്റെ മിനിമം ഗ്യാരണ്ടിയെന്നൊക്കെ പറയുന്നത് ഏതാണ്ട് എക്‌സ്പയറി ഡേറ്റിലായി എന്നും പറയാം.

Coming after the recent ‘Avatharram’ which didn’t make much good for Dileep camp, ‘Vilaali Veeran’ with its present content is sure to follow suit without making no big fortunes for its producer R B Chowdhary. Recommended only for Dileep fans and family audiences, who doesn’t mind seeing once again a regular typical Dileep stuff.

Villaliveeran maintains a uniformity throughout in that it is a sheer disaster from start to finish. Not a thing about it is likely to hold your interest for long, and this supposedly brave warrior will have you scurrying out of the cinema halls in no time. 

അടുത്ത കാലത്തൊന്നും ഇത്രയും ബോറടിപ്പിച്ച ഒരു മുന്‍നിര ചിത്രം ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ടാവില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഈ ചിത്രം കാണണം എന്ന് അഭിപ്രായം പറയാനും ആകില്ല.

Villaali Veeran gets some momentum in the second half, but is tailor made for those who enjoy silly brainless comedies. Now it’s your take!

Villali Veeran does what a typical Dileep film has always done; taking the viewers through the good old drama comprising a pretty heroine, a virtuous hero, atrocious villains, a few dim-wits for side-kicks delivering stupidities with robotic precision

'Villali Veeran' defies a serious analysis. As I said at the outset it simply not meant to be taken seriously. As a debutante director Sudheesh Shankar shows little promise in this movie. Hopefully, this forgettable debut venture  will be easily forgotten, by the time he readies for his second movie.

Villaaliveeran is a poorly executed work that is a clear repetition from some of the actor’s latest works. If you have enjoyed Sringaaravelan, Nadodimannan etc etc, this one will also be a good fun ride for you.

Villali Veeran is as good as Mr. Marumakan and Sringaravelan. If you enjoyed those films, you can enjoy this one too. Families will go and the movie will be a sure hit, but my rating is 2/5.

Those who seeks something new and fresh Villali Veeran is not for you.  This movie is strictly targeted towards family and lighthearted moviegoers who seeks entertainment and nothing else.
