സു സു സുധിവാത്മീകത്തിനുശേഷം രഞ്ജിത്ത് ശങ്കറും ജയസൂര്യയും ഒന്നിക്കുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ ചിത്രമാണ് പ്രേതം. സാധാരണ പ്രേതചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വിഭിന്നമായി ഭയത്തേക്കാൾ ഹാസ്യത്തിന് പ്രാധാന്യം കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള ഈ ചിത്രം കണ്ടിരിക്കാവുന്ന ഒന്നാണ്.
