അന്യദേശത്തെ ആഘോഷിക്കാനെത്തിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളെല്ലാം മറുനാടന്‍ നഗരം പകര്‍ത്തിയതല്ലാതെ ആസ്വാദനത്തില്‍ അറുബോറന്‍ സൃഷ്ടികളായിരുന്നു.  എസ്‌കേപ് ഫ്രം ഉഗാണ്ട, നാക്കു പെന്റാ നാക്കു ടാക്കാ,ഇംഗഌഷ് ഇവ സമീപകാല ഉദാഹരങ്ങള്‍. അമേരിക്കന്‍ നഗരക്കാഴ്ചകള്‍ ചിലത് സമ്മാനിച്ചതിനപ്പുറം പെരുച്ചാഴിയും തുരന്നുകീറിയത് ആസ്വാദകപ്രതീക്ഷയില്‍ നിവര്‍ന്ന ഓണത്തിരശിലയാണ്.

 അതി ഗൌരവമായ ഒരു സിനിമാ സങ്കല്‍പ്പത്തിന് ചേരുന്ന, പൂര്‍ണ്ണതയുള്ള ഒരു ചിത്രമായിരിക്കില്ല ഒരു പക്ഷെ "പെരുച്ചാഴി". പക്ഷെ, ഒരു ശരാശരി പ്രേക്ഷകന്‍ തീയേറ്ററില്‍ കയറുമ്പോള്‍ എന്താണോ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നത്, അതിനോട് നീതി പുലര്‍ത്തുന്ന ഒരു കോമഡി എന്റര്‍ടെയിനര്‍ ആണ് ഈ ചിത്രം.(പല സംഭവങ്ങളിലെയും യുക്തിയെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കാതിരിക്കുക; കാരണം, ഹാസ്യം യുക്തിരഹിതമാണ്.)

"Peruchazhi" is a movie made with satisfying elements for his hardcore admirers. The wait for something unprecedented factor have fizzled out with the release. 

Peruchazhi' suffers from some severely weak plotting and tries to cover it up with the silver sparks that emanate from the stardom of its lead actor. But with virtually no story to tell, it's an irredeemable fiasco that totally takes its viewers for granted.

A Film of the Star, by the Star and for the Star. Peruchazhi isn’t all that bad a start to the festive season anyways, just that if you happen to be a fan of the star then your chances of liking it are a lot higher.

Just about average; strictly only for Mohanlal fans. Watch it or skip it, doesn’t matter much either way.  

Regarded as the first Malayalam film to be released worldwide in over 500 theaters, Peruchazhi could have been dubbed as a mass-murderer for numbing its audience’s senses if it were not for the hardcore Mohanlal fans.

If you like Mohanlal, the movie is a homage to the star’s previous accomplishments as an actor who runs the show owing to his roles immersed in comedies and with twirled moustaches

Peruchazhi is not up to the mark especially since it underutilises an actor of the calibre of Mohanlal.

Peruchazhi no doubt is a comedy entertainer- one that would please you, as long as you kept that in mind.

Peruchazhi evokes images of those mementos given away to chief guests at low-key functions. Most often, the presents look similar, a dull, uninteresting statuette or a bust, the byproduct of corrupt artwork.

Peruchazhi is a movie for celebration,go and watch the film without expecting any logic.

'Peruchazhi': There is no real difference between Jagannathan and Mohanlal.

No two ways about it, Peruchazhi is meant for hardcore Mohanlal fans.

A clean comedy entertainer.

In short, Peruchazhi is a clean, hilarious and entertaining film for this festive season. Kudos to Team Peruchazhi!

Peruchazhi had a lot of promise and great potential but it fails on account of no cohesive direction and a weak script.

I appreciate the sincere mind to give spotlight to some unsung sports heroes. However, Peruchazhi overall disappointed me. The rating is a very generous 2.5/5.

Peruchazhi may appeal to that section of audience who are called diehard fans, but for the rest it is a mad rat race to nowhere.

മോഹൻലാൽ ആരാധകരെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തും വിധത്തിൽ, “ഒരു മസാല എന്റർടെയിനർ” എന്ന രീതിയിൽ തയ്യാറാക്കപ്പെട്ട സിനിമയാണ് “പെരുച്ചാഴി”. റിലീസിന് മുൻപ് പ്രചരിച്ചിരുന്ന “അപൂർവ്വ” പ്രത്യേകതകൾ ഒന്നും തന്നെ കാണാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എങ്കിലും, നിങ്ങൾ ഒരു മോഹൻലാൽ ആരാധകനാണെങ്കിൽ, “പെരുച്ചാഴി” നിങ്ങളെ നിരാശപ്പെടുത്തില്ല.

Peruchazhi has all the elements required for the thorough enjoyment and relaxation without making us feel bored even for a second.

Peruchazhi is a film for celebration, nothing less nothing more. If you are in for entertainment and nothing else, then Peruchazhi is for you. Diehard fans of Lalettan will cherish each and every appearance of Mohanlal. Finally the family audience will love this movie.

Peruchazhi is very promising in the initial hours with well written comedies and nifty direction. But looses the tempo before some minutes to interval. Second half is partially entertaining with many elements targeted at fans who would love it.
