Although we can't ignore this one for its half-hearted attempt, movie has its moments as well. All we can say that"Pakida" is just a disappointing one.

On the whole, Pakida is the perfect treat to watch with friends.

Overall its strictly an average fare and may be watchable for the performances of the lead casts only.

Overall Pakida remains to be a decent watchable thriller.Go and enjoy the game between Adhi and Anthraper.

Sunil Karayattukara’s mysterious thriller stars Asif Ali and Biju Menon in the lead role. This movie has also been set with lots of mysteries and twists but is not as thrilling as expected.

Another ‘new generation’ bakwas; that’s how I’d like to call ‘Pakida’, directed by Sunil Karyattukara and with Asif Ali and Biju Menon in key roles.

Many movies where made in the recent past focusing on the harassment faced by women. Most of these films failed in becoming a real eye opener and Sunil Karyattukara’s Pakida is no different from the others in terms of quality.

Towards the end, Pakida reminds strongly of the boisterous, action-stuffed Tamil mould, digressing uncontrollably from its measured beginning to a wayward ending.

All in all, this Pakida may not be be a game for all, but for the lovers of the genre there is plenty in the offer. With some genuine messages of crusade built around some real life horrifying happenings that disturbed every keralite.

'Pakida' is by no means the most insufferable movie of recent times. But its biggest handicap is that the possibilities of the genre that it unknowingly adheres to is not explored fully.

Pakida' could pass off as a watchable thriller if you are in a real relenting mood, all eager to appreciate the endeavor that has attempted to tell the story of a game that turns all somber. Else, it would remain yet another of those innumerable films that had starry aspirations in mind, and yet which fell short of them by almost a mile.

Sunil Karyattukara's latest offering Pakida, with Asif Ali and Biju Menon in the lead is a decent watchable thriller, which could have been much bettered with a thorough re check on the script and direction.

'ചാക്കോ രണ്ടാമനി'ല്‍ നിന്നും 'പകിട'യിലേക്കെത്തുമ്പോള്‍ സുനില്‍ കാര്യാട്ടുകരയിലെ സംവിധായകന്‍ ഈ ഇടവേളയില്‍ നേടിയ പക്വത ചിത്രത്തില്‍ കാണാം. ഒരു ആക്ഷന്‍ ത്രില്ലറിന് വേണ്ട ചേരുവകളെല്ലാം 'പകിട'യിലുണ്ട്.

ചിലപ്പോഴൊക്കെ ശ്രദ്ധ കൈവിട്ടത് കൊണ്ട് മുഴുവന്‍ ശരിയാകാതെ പോയ സിനിമയാണ് പകിട. അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഈ പകിട കളി എല്ലവര്‍ക്കുമുള്ളതല്ല. കളയാന്‍ കുറച്ചു കാശും സമയവും ഉള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് മാത്രം ഒന്ന് കളിച്ചു നോക്കാം, പകിട !

ഒരുപാടു പൊട്ടസിനിമകള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ഭേദപ്പെട്ട രചന എന്ന നിലയില്‍ പകിട വേണമെങ്കില്‍ ഓപ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാവുന്ന പടമാണ്. 

സ്വന്തം മകളെ പോലെ വ്യഭിചാരകേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് അയക്കാന്‍ മടിയില്ലാത്ത അച്ഛന്‍മാരുള്ള കാലത്ത് അത്തരമൊരു പ്രമേയം സിനിമയില്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നിടത്താണ് മാത്രമാണ് പകിടയില്‍ കളി കാര്യമായത്. മറിച്ചാലോചിച്ചാല്‍ ശരാശരിക്ക് താഴെയൊരു കാഴ്ച മാത്രമാകുന്നു ഈ സിനിമ.

Director Sunil Karyattukara`s Pakida is meant to be a thriller with some genuine messages. Though the intention is noble, the film is let down by an inept script and not so competent presentation.
