അസാധാരണത്വമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു സെക്കണ്ട് ക്ലാസ് യാത്ര

Just before the climax where the story takes a thriller-like turn, there are hardly any nail-biting moments. Simply put, it doesn't pack a punch. 

ഗോപീസുന്ദര്‍ ഈണമിട്ട അമ്പാഴം തണലിട്ട എന്ന ഗാനവും ചെമ്പന്‍ വിനോദിന്റെ ആശ്വാസകരമായ തമാശകളും ഒഴിച്ചുനിര്‍ത്തിയാല്‍ പാതിവഴിയില്‍ ഇറങ്ങാന്‍ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സെക്കന്‍ഡ് ക്‌ളാസ്സ് യാത്രയാണ് ഈ പുതുമുഖ സംവിധായകരുടേത്.

Just like the title suggests, Oru Second Class Yathra is as enjoyable as a trip in a second-class compartment of a train.

Director duo  Jexson Antony and Rejis Antony did obviously did not want the title to be reflective in the film but somehow that’s just what the film has to offer

'Oru Second Class Yatra' isn't a damaging film, especially since being flat certainly cannot be considered offensive. 

Debutante scenarist director duo Jexson Antony-Rejis Antony have not managed to offer a royal and unforgettable ride for the viewer but they have not embarrassed themselves by hamming it up.

സാമൂഹിക വ്യവസ്ഥിതിയുടെ നേരനുഭവങ്ങളും സാമൂഹ്യബോധത്തിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തവും സമര്‍ഥമായി പുനര്‍നിര്‍വഹിക്കുന്നതില്‍ ജെക്‌സണ്‍ -റെജീസ് കൂട്ടുകെട്ടിന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും പ്രമേയത്തിന്റെ സാംഗത്യവും നിര്‍ഗുണമായ മിഥ്യാനുകരണങ്ങള്‍ ഒഴിവാക്കാന്‍ കാണിച്ച ധീരതയും ചിത്രത്തിന് സാമാന്യ സൌന്ദര്യശാസ്ത്രം അണിയിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

വലിയ തെറ്റില്ലാതെയുള്ള തുടക്കമാണെങ്കിലും സിനിമയ്ക്കു തിരിച്ചടിയാകുന്നത് ഒഴുക്കന്‍ മട്ടിലുള്ള ആഖ്യാനവും ഒട്ടും എന്‍ഗേജ് ചെയ്യാത്ത പ്രമേയവുമാണെന്നു ചുരുക്കം.

ഒരു സെക്കൻഡ് ക്ളാസ് യാത്ര എന്നാണ് സിനിമയുടെ പേര് എങ്കിലും ക്ളാസ് ഏതെന്ന് തീരുമാനിക്കാനുള്ള അവകാശം പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് വിടുന്നു. 

The maximum you can say about this film is okay. As the runtime is only around one hour and 45 minutes, the chances of you getting bored are quite less.

‘Oru Second Class Yathra’ has a novel theme, yet the execution could have been better.

ഈ സിനിമ ഫസ്റ്റ് ക്ളാസ് ആണോ സെക്കന്‍ഡ് ക്ളാസ് ആണോ എന്നൊക്കെ പ്രേക്ഷകര്‍ തന്നെയാണ് തീരുമാനിക്കേണ്ടത്. എന്നിരുന്നാലും വലിയ പ്രതീക്ഷകളൊന്നുമില്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഇൌ യാത്രയ്ക്ക് ധൈര്യമായി ടിക്കറ്റെടുക്കാം.

In short Oru Second Class Yathra stands as a watchable movie; which will hold the audience without any hesitation.

A movie which badly fails to impress with the charmless performances of the leading actors and badly executed screenplay.

"Oru Second Class Yathra" lacks the pace and essential elements of a comedy suspense thriller.

From the start to the end of the first half the movie went in a humorous track and in the later stage it went like more of a melodrama as the effort to create a thriller mood had failed.
