'ആദ്യം കയ്ക്കും പിന്നെ മധുരിക്കും' എന്നാണ് നെല്ലിക്കയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പഴമൊഴി . എന്നാല്‍ സൗഹൃദത്തിന്റെ , ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ ,സംഗീതത്തിന്റെ മധുരവുമായി എത്തിയ ഈ നെല്ലിക്ക എപ്പോഴും മധുരിക്കും.
