Nee Na

A pretty bold move by Lal Jose and scriptwriter R Venugopal to attempt to break a few stereotypes by presenting an alcoholic but extremely capable young lady as the central character

പ്രമേയത്തോടുള്ള വിയോജിപ്പുകൾ നിൽക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നെ, നീ.ന കണ്ടപ്പോൾ സന്തോഷം തോന്നി. കാരണം, കാണികൾക്ക് യോജിക്കാനോ വിയോജിക്കാനോ ഒക്കെ എന്തെങ്കിലുമുള്ള ഒരു സിനിമയുണ്ടാവുന്നത് മലയാളത്തിൽ അപൂർവസംഭവമാണ്. 

സദാചാരപൊലീസുകാര്‍ക്ക് നിരന്നിരുന്ന് കൈയടിക്കാവുന്ന സന്ദേശനിബദ്ധമായ ചലച്ചിത്രകാവ്യമാണ് ‘നീന’ എന്ന് ഒറ്റവാചകത്തില്‍ പറയാം.

Ultimately Nee-Na turns out to be an interesting attempt by Lal Jose, not flawless of course but definitely something that’s not run of the mill. The merits far outweigh the negatives making the film worth watching indeed.

Neena is undoubtedly a heart warming feel good movie for all the movie lovers and families.

സ്ഥിരം വിനോദം സിനിമല്ല കാണാന്‍ പോകുന്നത് എന്ന ധാരണയോടെ പോയാല്‍ ചില മുഷിപ്പുകളെല്ലാംഅവഗണിച്ചു കണ്ടിരിക്കാവുന്ന മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട സിനിമാഅനുഭവം തന്നെയാണു നീ-ന.

All the pieces of the film do not fall in place, but they do not hinder the film. Nee-na doesn't follow formulas and still wins attention; and that's its biggest strength. 

Overall, it is just an okay watch from Lal Jose after much promise in the beginning.

Nee-Na is impressive

Neena, the name itself is a unique one which attracts the attention of the audience and director Lal Jose is a master at creating that kind of attention for each and every films done by him

ലാല്‍ ജോസ് സമ്മാനിച്ച മികച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ് നീന. ബന്ധങ്ങളുടെ വിലയിടിവ് കാലത്ത് ബന്ധനങ്ങളാകുന്ന ഇഷ്ടങ്ങളിലേക്കും, നിസ്സഹായ മനുഷ്യാവസ്ഥകളിലേക്കും കാഴ്ച തിരിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രം. നൈമിഷികാനുഭൂതിക്കായുള്ള ലഹരിജീവിതത്തിന് ശേഷം സംഭവിക്കുന്ന സ്വയംതകര്‍ച്ചയും ആത്മഹത്യയും ഒളിച്ചോട്ടവും അപകടവുമെല്ലാം നിത്യകാഴ്ചയായ ഇടത്തേക്കാണ് നീന എത്തുന്നത് എന്നതും പ്രസക്തമാണ്. 

'Nee-Na' tells an obvious tale with an inevitable end-point already in sight, but steers itself clear of heavy handed sentimentality. I would overlook the schematic feel that at times robs the film of its fun, and look at it as a thoughtful movie that has benefitted from a brilliant director at its helm. 

For all those who think movies are all about laughs and fun, Nee-Na may not be what you expect. But then, life is not all about laughs, right? Don't miss this one if you seriously love movies. 

All in all 'Nee-Na' a watchable movie, conceived in a novel manner.

Nee-Na has a content that demanded better actors to convince the audience about the depth of the emotional attachment between the characters.

സിനിമ ഒരു വിനോദോപാധി മാത്രമല്ല എന്ന തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ് തീയറ്ററിലെത്താനാണ് നീന പ്രേക്ഷകനോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നത്. അങ്ങനെ പോയി കണ്ടാല്‍ ഇൌ സിനിമ നിങ്ങള്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടും.

'Neena' may not be everyone's cup of tea.But it slowly takes hold of the discerning viewer ends up leaving a lump in the throat.
