Fahad with a fresher again! Went to see it only because of Fahad. But even he could not save the movie.

However it is a neat effort to tickle some fun bones and on this aspect you might like this one. Totally it is good for one time watch......

സെഞ്ച്വറിയുടെ ബാനറില്‍ രാജു മാത്യു നിര്‍മിച്ച് സന്തോഷ് നായര്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത, ഫഹദ് ഫാസില്‍ നായകനായ 'മണിരത്‌നം' എന്ന സിനിമ പറയാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് ഇത്തരം ഒരു സാമൂഹ്യ രോഗാവസ്ഥയെ ആണ്. തുടക്കത്തില്‍ തന്നെ പറയട്ടെ, ആ നിലക്കുള്ള ഒരു സാമൂഹ്യ വിമര്‍ശനം എന്ന ശ്രമത്തില്‍ ഈ സിനിമ അത്ര വിജയിച്ചില്ല എന്ന് പറയേണ്ടിവരുന്നു.

ഫഹദ് സിനിമകളുടെ സ്ഥിരം രീതിയായ ഗുണോപദേശകഥയുടെ ആവര്‍ത്തനമാണ് ഇതെന്നതായിരിക്കും മറ്റൊരു ദോഷം. എന്തായാലും പാസ് മാര്‍ക്ക് നേടാന്‍ പാടുപെടുന്നതേയില്ല ഈ പടം.

സീരിയസ് സിനിമ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവർ ഫഹദ് ഫാസിൽ എന്ന ലേബൽ കണ്ട് കയറിയാൽ ഒരു പക്ഷേ നിരാശരായേക്കാം.

കൊള്ളാവുന്ന ഒരു കഥാസന്ദര്‍ഭവും നിരവധി ഉപകഥകളും പാട്ടുകളും ആക്ഷന്‍ രംഗങ്ങളുമുണ്ടായിട്ടും 125 മിനുറ്റ് മാത്രം നീളമുള്ള ചിത്രം പലപ്പോഴും ഇഴയുന്നു.  ചിത്രം മൊത്തത്തിലെടുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കുറച്ചു കൂടി നന്നാക്കാമായിരുന്നെന്ന് തോന്നിപ്പിക്കുന്നിടത്താണ് മണിരത്‌നം ഒരു ശരാശരി ചിത്രമാകുന്നത്.

On the whole, the director shows good promise and the film is worth a watch, solely for the humour

It's a surprisingly low bar that 'Money Ratnam' aspires to rest on and despite managing to raise the occasional smile, is loud and low. A road movie that wants to be a comedy and a moralistic fable all at once, it's a jug-headed chore that has eye-rolling moments galore.

Money Ratnam is an above-average, unpretentious entertainer.

Overall Money Ratnam is an enjoyable film that won’t bore you with its 125 minutes runtime. My rating is 3/5 for this Santhosh Nair movie. The 100th film from Century films may not have a 100 days theatrical run, but it is worth spending 100 rupees.

Money Rathnam can turn out to be a pretty fine option, if you go without much expectation. If you are inetested thrillers, give this one a try!
