Synopsis:

Kismath is a romantic drama film based on true events that happened in Ponnani (a harbour town in Northern Kerala) during 2012. The story revolves around the relationship between Irfan, a 23 year old upper class Muslim boy and Anitha, a 28 year old Dalit Hindu girl who is a Research fellow. The movie revolves around the couple's decision to get married against their family's wishes and the life changing incidents that follow after their visit to a Police station seeking protection.

നവാഗതനായ ഷാനവാസ് ബാവുക്കുട്ടി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചിത്രമാണ് കിസ്മത്ത്. പൊന്നാനിയുടെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തിലൊരുക്കിയ ഈ ചിത്രം യഥാർത്ഥജീവിതത്തോട് ചേർന്നു നില്ക്കുന്ന അവതരണത്തിലൂടെ വേറിട്ടു നില്ക്കുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ആഴത്തിലിറങ്ങാതെ ആശയത്തിൽ മാത്രമൊതിങ്ങിനിന്ന കഥ പ്രേക്ഷകമനസ്സിൽ ചിത്രത്തിൻ്റെ ആസ്വാദനത്തിന് വരമ്പുകൾ തീർക്കുന്നു.
