Siddique's 'Bhaskar the Rascal' is a film sans an internal narrative logic that hardly outweighs its jaded stereotypes. The only redeeming fact about the two and a half hour long film is the highly agreeable combination of its four lead actors - Mammootty, Nayantara, Sanoop and Anikha - all of whom desperately struggle to bring in some sense into an otherwise bizarre storyline. 

It is also a decent comeback for Siddiq in commercial front after the ‘Ladies and Gentleman’ debacle. Overall it’s a fair, festival entertainer, except for the last few portions.

Bhaskar the Rascal is a perfect family entertainer for the festival season.Watch it without much expectations.

'Bhaskar the Rascal' may not be insufferable and in this holiday season it may find a few takers. But those who are expecting a Siddique - Mammootty special will be disappointed. This rascal is not all that lovable, unfortunately.
