രാജ്യസുരക്ഷ ഏല്‍പ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരില്‍ ജാതിഭിന്നതകളുെണ്ടന്ന് കാട്ടിയ മേല്‍വിലാസത്തിന് ശേഷം മാധവ് രാംദാസ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ചിത്രമാണ് അപ്പോത്തിക്കിരി. ആതുര സേവനമേഖലയിലെ ഞെട്ടിക്കുന്ന വാണിജ്യതാല്‍പ്പര്യങ്ങളെ തുറന്നുകാട്ടിയ ധൈര്യമാണ് ചിത്രം.

Good, relevant, impressive to an extent; but could have been better

As a true cinephile, one would love to see far from just entertainment. But, here doubt is "Apothecary" Malayalam movie has delivered its seriousness or not ?

‘Apothecary’ will haunt you even after you leave the theatre. It would at once make you feel happy for having seen a genuine film, but then all this happens after it has made you cry

Apothecary could be loved for the intense portrayal of a grave issue, the intricacies of which are still unclear.

It raises a pertinent question on the plight of hapless patients, who are forced to endure the exploitation meted out to them by certain hospitals and the doctors there. The film succeeds on this aspect, to a certain extent, which is quite an achievement. A big thumbs up for that boldness!

Apothecary does not have any subtlety, everything that the director wishes to convey has been overtly pronounced by the actors through their dialogues

സിനിമയെ ഗൗരവമായി സമീപിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള സസ്പെൻസ് ത്രില്ലറാണ് ഈ സിനിമ എന്ന് ഒറ്റവാചകത്തിൽ പറയാം.

Apothecary is undoubtedly, one of the hard hitting and films to come in Malayalam and will definitively find its place in the golden books of Malayalam Cinema just like the director Madhav’s previous film ‘Melvilasam’. 

To sum it up, I liked Apothecary. But it failed to create the kind of impact Melvilasam created in me. For those who just scrolled down all the way to this paragraph, the number you are looking for is 3/5.
