High Court Says Drishyam Is Not Copied

The High Court has issued an order stating that Drishyam is not copied and hence the petition regarding the story of the film given by director Satish Paul has been rejected.

Director Satish Paul has earlier filed a petition against the movie Drishyam saying that the story of the film was copied from his novel Oru Mazhakkalathu. But now Jeethu Joseph, the director of Drishyam has submitted the photostats and mails of the script of the movie which was published in 2011. Satish Paul completed his novel in 2013. Hence the court came up with a verdict in favour of the movie makers.

As the court issued a verdict in favour of the movie, director Jeethu Joseph is planning to file a defamation case against Satish Paul. Drishyam's Tamil remake starring Kamal Hassan is all set to release. Ajay Devgon will play the lead role in the Hindi remake of this film.
